good coffee place

my coffee is really good today. it is a “house” blend from the woodstar cafe in northampton, ma. when i bought the coffee, i also bought about a hundred other things. including
1. bagel + lox + red onion + capers
2. cup of coffee
3. two (2) loaves of multigrain bread

several attempts were required to secure this bean. i ordered
1. half a pound of house blend regular
2. half a pound of house blend decaf

the worker was kind and patient but could not understand my needs. there was a dramatic demonstration by a woman, a manager by all appearances, who threw a sack of bean in the garbage. i requested that the sack be retrieved as the sight of perfectly good bean in the trash was “breaking my heart.”

it was raining out and i returned to where we were staying to pack up and leave for the next leg of our vacation. packing was rife with verbal and aural obstacles.
