starbucks: bad publicity
louis armstrong said it, i think. any publicity is good publicity. i’m not sure about this.
i will need to investigate further before forming a response. it appears that starbucks is not fond of union activities. my question is about why a union would be needed. starbucks is alleged to be a great employer, right?
i just hope that none of the fracas has a negative impact on the bean.
i don’t think i’m ready for starbucks
i’m barely ready for brooklyn, or the subway, or the fan blowing in the apartment right now. after my 9-day silent meditation retreat with hardly any coffee (my own choice, a wise one, i might add), i am not attracted to starbucks. i wonder if this is a permanent condition. i’m guarding my precious energy.
sound optional?
remember when there used to be smoking everywhere? then there were smoking sections? how about making a silent section where there is no music playing, no rattling conversations on mobile phones and where silence, or at least mellowness, is the default mode of being. i would like that a lot.
